- 4 T. cocoa powder
- 3 T. flour
- 1 C. sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 C. milk
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/2 stick butter
Mix together cocoa, flour, sugar in a heavy pan.
Add slightly beaten egg yolks into the dry ingredients.
Slowly add the milk a bit at a time until well blended.
Over low heat, cook stirring CONSTANTLY until thickened. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and butter and stir to blend well.
Pour into a baked 9-inch pie crust.
Allow to cool, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
