Bacon Candy

  • 20 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 t. chili powder
Preheat oven to 400.
Line 2 rimmed baking sheets with foil.
Whisk brown sugar with chili powder.
Arrange the bacon strips on the foil.
Coat tops of bacon with chili sugar.
Back for 20-25 minutes, until caramelized
 and almost crisp.
Transfer bacon to a rackset over a sheet of foil
 to cool completely before serving.
